Born in 1967, Sii Ashoona is a fourth generation artist in the Ashoona family. He grew up in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU) alongside Shuvinai Ashoona, Goota Ashoona and Napachie Ashoona. Coming from a family of artists, he was introduced to the art world from a young age. Sii creates a variety of sculptures of more traditional themes ranging from dancing bears to shaman and sednas.
