The Toronto artist Shay Salehi, a graduate of the Craft & Design program at Sheridan College and the Sculpture and Installation program from the Ontario College of Art and Design, dedicates her artistic career to the medium of glass. Through the use of sculptures and installations, the multidisciplinary artist explores the themes of repetition and self-destruction. Interested in the fragility of glass and its ability to imitate other materials, Shay Salehi specializes in oven moulding and glass paste techniques. In addition to being collected, she has won numerous awards, such as the Riedel Award (Venice, Italy) and the Best of Glass at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.
