Quvianaqtuk Pudlat is an artist from Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU). He began his artistic career as a sculptor but many years later turned towards drawing. As a hunter and keen observer of nature, he intimately understands the physical characteristics, the musculature of movement, and behaviours of wildlife. Through his distinct drawing style, he depicts the dynamic animals of the Arctic landscape. His graphic work has since been included in the Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection and exhibited at the Inuit Gallery of Vancouver (BC), Winnipeg Art Gallery (MB), and Highpoint Centre for Printmaking (MN, USA). In 2020, he was the Inuit artist in residence at Open Studio (Toronto, ON).
