Born in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU), Nujalia Quvianaqtuliaq started his graphic art and printmaking career in 2014 as an apprentice at Kinngait Studios. Quvianaqtuliaq often depicts sparse rocky landscapes set against vivid blue seas, which occasionally include wildlife such as polar bears or owls. He works with contrasting although harmonious colours to create perspective and depth. The artist has been part of exhibitions nationally as well as internationally and his work has been acquired by the Canada Council Art Bank.
