Noah Jaw

Based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU), Noah Jaw comes from a family of talented artists. Both his brothers, Kellipalik Jaw and Ricky Jaw, are sculptors. His work is greatly influenced by his father, brothers, and uncle—the renowned carver Pootoogook Jaw. Distinguished by a strong and clean design, Noah Jaw is best known for his carvings of bears and hunters in a kayak. His sculptures often include leather ropes, small tools, and spears carved from bone, antler, or wood. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including in South Korea and Germany.
