Multidisciplinary artist and ceramist by profession, Marie-Andrée Côté lives and works in Deux-Montagnes (QC). Nature, ever-changing and astonishing, both beautiful and complex, is the main source of inspiration for the artist. She studies and photographs details—from seeds to algae and microscopic elements—which she transposes into ceramics. Working by repetition and multiplication, her process is comparable to the regeneration of the ecosystem. Integrating art with architecture, she also created monumental installations and her works are part of many collections both here (Loto-Québec, Claridge) and abroad (Opéra de Paris [France], Design Centrum [Czech Republic]).
