Marianne Chénard

Marianne Chénard, a Montreal-based ceramist, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University (Vancouver, BC). With a keen interest in Canada's history, she is often inspired by its nordic landscapes that she reinterprets by exploring different techniques for treating clay surfaces. In addition to having completed several artist residencies and having received prizes such as an honourable mention for the Prix François-Houdé in 2012 and a grant for research and creation in 2018, her work has been presented in many solo and group exhibitions across Canada and in France.
