Maggie Napartuk

Born in Kuujjuaq (Nunavik, QC), Maggie Napartuk is an Inuk artist currently residing in Inukjuak. Her artistic practice is broad and includes metalwork, jewellery making, drawing, and engraving (more particularly linocut). The artist is one of a small number of linocut printmakers in Nunavik (QC). Maggie Napartuk is an active member of her community working with young people and emerging artists in Nunavik. In 2016, she received a grant from Aumaaggiivik Nunavik Arts Secretariat to undertake a linocut workshop with artist Lyne Bastien in Montreal (QC). She has also participated in many workshops across Quebec to learn and share her skills in engraving.
