    Living and working in Toronto, Lizz Aston is a textile artist with a keen interest in social innovation, policy development and advocacy initiatives. Using a human-centered and process-driven approach, her work explores the intersection between traditional craft practice and digital technology. After receiving her diploma in Crafts & Design from the Sheridan College (ON) in 2012, she completed a three-year artist residency in the Textile Studio at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre and completed a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design at OCAD University (ON) in 2016. Her work is extensively exhibited across Canada, the United States, Australia, and South Korea and the artist received numerous grants and awards, including the 2012 RBC Emerging Artist Studio Set-up Award and the Craft Ontario Award for Excellence in 2014.
