The work of Léa and Nicolas comes from the combination of complementary paths. Lea studied applied arts, crafts and graphic design while Nicolas specializes in interior design, architecture and photography. Driven by the freedom allowed by clay to give shape, and inspired by the structural principles of architecture, they immerse themselves in form research, playing with balance and assemblage, pushing the complexity and rigour of the shapes while preserving the simplicity of materials. Their practice explores both the sculptural and functional aspects of everyday objects with an aesthetics coming from a desire to make objects as elegant as tactile.
