Based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU), Kelly (Kellypalik) Etidloie hails from a family of well-established artists. His mother, Kingmeata Etidloie, was one of the first Inuit artists to experiment with watercolour and acrylics. Kelly Etidloie learned to carve by watching and helping his father, Etidlooie, and his older sister. He likes to carve musk ox because it allows him to add more details.
