Julie Grenier is a jewellery artist from Kuujjuaq (Nunavik, QC). She specializes in traditional beadwork and sewing, which she started doing at age eight. She learned how to sew and bead from her grandmother, a well-known seamstress who created traditional clothing, and her mother. She later shared her knowledge by teaching sewing to members of her community. Although she is passionate about finding and using beads from around the world, she also incorporates other materials such as bone and ivory into her work.
