John Glendinning

Inspired by the natural surroundings at his studio in the Appalachian Mountains near Sutton (QC), wood artist John Glendinning creates original, expertly crafted furniture and objects. Focusing on the material and its natural features, his work explores surface transition and structural relationships between mating surfaces. The artist continually explores new ways to interact with the material, constantly evolving and reevaluating his practice. In addition to being exhibited and collected internationally, he was inducted into the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2008.
