The emerging artist Holly Andersen is a self-taught photographer and filmmaker from Makkovik, Nunatsiavut, NL. As a teenager, she enjoyed taking photos, but it wasn't until her 20s that she really started taking an interest in photography. Andersen focuses her photography on capturing wildlife and landscapes. Her father is a fisherman and her mother loves the outdoors, which had a huge impact on her artistic practice. They showed her nature and taught her from a young age to appreciate the land which is so important to their culture.
