Jewellery designer and artist France Roy graduated from the École de Joaillerie de Montréal graduate, where she now teaches various techniques of the trade. A recipient of research grants, she creates unique and limited-edition pieces in her studio. For her, jewellery is both an ornament and a work of art. Using a largely intuitive creative process, her inspiration comes from the excitement of urban life, the encounters it generates, and the textures and colours of natural spaces. Situating her pieces at the meeting point of these diverse influences, she is committed to creating jewellery relevant to our times. Through the years, her work has been part of prestigious exhibitions and publications, notably for her recent research on integrating coloured epoxy resin with precious metals.
