Donald Robertson is known internationally for his lost wax casting's glass sculptures. His sculptures explore the connections between the material and spiritual worlds through metaphor. Using technical processes, subject matter and material transformation, Donald Robertson's work addresses time and the perception of the present and history. He studied glass at the Sheridan College School of Crafts and Design and obtained his BFA from Concordia University. Donald Robertson has been teaching at Espace Verre since 1989. His work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and Europe and received several grants and awards. His sculptures are part of many public collections, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, as well as numerous private collections both in Canada and abroad.
