During his early days as a student at Espace Verre, David Frigon-Lavoie discovered his passion for glass, a mysterious and exciting material. While working as an assistant for many renowned glass artists, including Patrick Primeau, he became familiar with several techniques. Programmed obsolescence, technological progress, as well as abandoned industrial structures and buildings are dominant themes in David Frigon-Lavoie's approach. His work often incorporates metal, a material emblematic of the industrial revolution. The artist's decorative and sculptural objects have earned him several grants and have been exhibited in fairs and events in Quebec and Ontario.
