Born in Frobisher Bay (NU) and currently based in Whitby (ON), Dan Wade is an established jewellery artist. After studying Jewellery & Metalwork at the Nunavut Arctic College, he worked as a jeweller at the Aayuraa Studio in Iqaluit (NU) from 2010 to 2018. His deep connection to the land is evident in his work, much of which is inspired by the natural beauty and incorporates materials found in Nunavut, such as baleen, muskox horn, and polar bear claws. Dan Wade won multiple awards, including the Nunavut Arts Branding Award from The Song Tree in 2012, and travelled across Canada to exhibit and sell his works.
