Born in Quebec City, multidisciplinary artist Clara Cousineau lives and works in Montreal. A Visual Art graduate from Concordia University, she is interested in the limits and completeness of materials to offer a method where the notion of media—whether present or absent—is lost. Her work shifts between 2D and 3D perception and explores the domestic environment as well as the symbolic charge of the objects that compose it. In 2018, she won "The BMO 1st Art!"competition. Her work has been presented in several galleries, artist-run centres in Montreal and Toronto, and is part of the Claridge Collection (QC) and many other private collections.
