Christine Dunbar is Inuvialuit, Cree and Ukrainian born and raised in Yellowknife NWT. She is currently living in Kitchener, ON for her masters degree that is focusing on Muskox in the Thaidene Nëné Indigenous Protected Area, NWT. Her Inuit family (grandmother's side) is from Alaska, Inuvik and Aklavik, NWT. Her Cree family (grandfather's side) is from Alberta and Saskatchewan. Christine Dunbar's beadwork reflects her love for nature and the uniqueness of the North. She also enjoys making non-traditional beaded items that are more modern, too.
