Based in Vancouver, BC, Bettina Matzkuhn is a textile artist and teacher who creates narratives on ecology and geography through embroidery, painting, and fabric collage. Matzkuhn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master in Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser University, and is the recipient of Canada Council and British Columbia Arts Council Grants. She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions across Canada, as well as in Korea and the United States. Her pieces are featured in national public collections such as the Surrey Art Gallery, Cambridge Art Galleries, and the Weldon Map Library at Western University.
