Cheryl Wilson-Smith is an established sculptural glass artist living in Red Lake (ON). She pursued her training at Bullseye Glass (Portland, OR) and Espace Verre (Montreal, QC), and completed many artist residencies, such as the Northlands Creative Glass Residency (Lybster, UK). Living in a remote location surrounded by the manifestations of nature relatively untouched by humans, the artist is aware that nature was there long before her and will be here long after. Although mostly known for her sculptures, the artist also works with installations and completed architectural commissions for a few institutions. In addition to being exhibited in multiple galleries across North America, she received the RBC Award for Glass (2014) and Chalmers Arts Fellowships (2018).
