In his Ready-Made series, Sébastien Duchange displays sets of glass models as individual pieces. His usually industrially made plastic pieces are presented and created here through specialized craftsmanship. This ambivalence certainly refers to the famous readymades of artist Marcel Duchamp. These remarkable works carved with a blowtorch invite the viewer to mentally reassemble a delicate glass cup.
The work is currently exhibited at the Villa Bagatelle in Quebec City as part of the exhibition Light on Glass (March 8 to August 27, 2023).
