Artist Mylène Boisvert completed her training in visual arts at Concordia University and in textile design at the Centre design et impression textile de Montréal. She has many years of experience as a textile designer, notably in the knitting industry (2001-2006), and as a teacher at the Centre design et impression textile de Montréal, the Centre des textiles contemporains de Montréal and recently at the Visual Arts Centre of Westmount. In her work, Mylène Boisvert is interested in the material of paper, which she transforms into threads through which she constructs murals and sculptures. Her work has been presented in several solo and group exhibitions in Quebec, Canada, and internationally.
