Originally from Causapscal (QC), Andréanne Bouchard splits her practice between print and mixed media on paper. With a degree in Visual and Media Arts from UQAM, she is interested in the balance of forms, the precariousness of composition and the visual chaos of an abundance of juxtaposed motifs. Following her studies, she undertook training in graphic design to satisfy her curiosity in printing and illustration. Concerned with surplus materials and generated waste, she keeps the papers from her printed productions that she cuts, folds, shreds, and glues. Her work becomes an almost obsessive transformation of each scrap.
