Linda Swanson

    Based in Montreal, QC, Linda Swanson is an established ceramic artist. Her raw and kiln fired ceramic works have been exhibited around the United States, Canada and Europe. Recent exhibitions include Beautés Equivoques at the Bernardaud Foundation in Limoges (France), RAW at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto (Canada), Contemporary Clay II at Western Carolina University (U.S.), Omphalos at A-B Projects in Los Angeles (U.S.) and ArtParis with the Galerie Maria Lund. She has been an Artist in Residence at the European Ceramic Work Center in the Netherlands and Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark.

    Swanson studied ceramics at the Tekisui Workshop in Ashiya, Japan, earned a BA in Art History from UC Santa Barbara, a BFA in ceramics from Cal State Long Beach and an MFA from Alfred University in New York. Her work has been supported with grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, CALQ, FRQSC, and Concordia University where she currently teaches and coordinates the Ceramics Program.
