lessLIE is a contemporary Coast Salish artist born in Duncan (BC) and residing in Nanaimo (BC). He graduated with a BA in First Nations Studies from Vancouver Island University and is pursuing an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Coast Salish art at the University of Victoria. Through his art, lessLIE articulates his experience as an urban dweller. He frequently uses wordplay in his titles to reveal hidden meanings or blends imagery with texts through the use of punctuation. In addition to his participation in solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States, lessLIE's work is part of collections such as the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (BC) and the Westfalisches Museum fur Naturkunde (Germany).
