States of Being

The exhibition States of Being brings together the works of Caroline Pham (ORA-C), Wasselena Bilak, and Pauline Ebel (Soie Lait), three artists whose practices expand jewellery beyond adornment, revealing its sculptural, affective, and transformative potential. Through practices rooted in material, memory, and the body, the artists explore how objects can preserve traces, convey emotion, and reshape our relationship to the living world.

Moving between organic, affective, and corporeal states, their practices propose different ways of inhabiting material and relating to objects. Jewellery becomes a space of encounter: forms through which memory, presence, and movement converge.

Through States of Being, jewellery emerges as more than something simply worn on the body. It becomes a site of passage where gestures, stories, and transformations settle — shaped by the traces of time, bodies, and living matter.
