Born in Greenland, Jonasie Faber grew up at sea. In 1974, he moved to British Columbia to open an art business. Learning about argillite sculpture, his style is part of a love of naturalism that originates both in the spirit world and wildlife. His work is known for its dramatic and flamboyant expression. He has had exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Germany, and France. His sculptures are part of the collections of the Greenland Government, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Canadian Museum of History, and the Danish Royal Family.
