A great lover of architecture, Annie Legault defines herself as an atmosphere and textile designer. After completing a DEC in textile printing techniques at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, she obtained a BFA with honours in Fibres and Material Practices from Concordia University. In her search for a distinctly warm atmosphere, luminous texture, and material poetry, the artist chooses to integrate her approach into everyday life. She interprets lamps, an innocuous object of everyday life, with great sensitivity. Her work initially evolves through the concept of "protection", her lamps and carpets being a balm to the coldness that can darken our universe. Combining traditional ancestral techniques with her contemporary vision, the artist's unique works are part of the collection of the MUMAQ (Montreal, QC) and Ivanhoe Cambridge’s collection.
