As part of the Prix François-Houdé 2018, La Guilde will be receiving Marianne Chénard, who will host a workshop to initiate us to silkscreen printing on clay. During this workshop, the artist will present her practice, while guiding 12 participants in the exploration of this printing technique on clay with pochoir.

Holding a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Marianne Chénard has received a mention of honor for the Prix François-Houdé. She has followed several artist residencies, one of which was at the Maison des métiers d’art du Québec. She also presents her work in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Canada and in France. For the past several years, she has been offering specialized classes in printing and in ceramics.
