As part of its educational program, La Guilde is proud to welcome Magali Thibault Gobeil, a jewellery artist and laureate of the Prix François-Houdé 2017, for an Artist Talk. She will expose her creative process and innovative approach to making jewellery, in which she uses unconventional materials. This activity includes a short guided tour of her exhibition If Clouds were Cotton Candy and a fascinating demonstration of the casting of resin.
Magali Thibault Gobeil
Laureate of the Prix François-Houdé 2017, Magali Thibault Gobeil teaches the integration of resin and plexiglass at the École de Joaillerie de Montréal. She has won many awards in Canada and internationally, namely the Prix Première présence of the Salon des métiers d’art de Montréal. Her work has also been presented in the United States, the Netherlands, Portugal, France and Spain.
