Who We Are

Founded in 1906, La Guilde, a branded gallery and museum of Canadian art, works to preserve, promote and disseminate fine crafts. Specializing in Inuit art and First Nations art, La Guilde is a non-profit organization that has a permanent collection, one of the most influential in Canada, archives of remarkable historical and cultural wealth, an educational program with considerable scope and an art gallery that brings together the works of recognized and emerging artists. Located in downtown Montreal, the Galerie de La Guilde offers high quality contemporary pieces to all its customers.

Our mission

Support, promote and encourage contemporary Inuit artists, First Nations as well as artists working in current crafts and ensure the viability of their practice. 

Highlight this artistic work with our audiences for the purpose of raising awareness, opening up and developing knowledge regarding these practices.

Preserve and develop the permanent collection of Inuit art, First Nations art and crafts for educational purposes.
