Born in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, NU), artist Padloo Samayualie works primarily with drawing and printmaking. After attending a drawing workshop in Banff (AB) in 2001, she decided to pursue her artistic career. Her work, characterized by precise details with an excellent sense of colour, is often based on photographs, memory, or her observation of the world around her. In 2016, she attended a two weeks artist residency at the Brooklyn Museum (New York, USA), and her work has been shown in galleries across Canada.
