Taygan Appleton is a young emerging glass artist and photographer based in Cochrane (AB). She completed her BFA, in 2018, at the Alberta University of the Arts, where she was instantly captured by the versatility and mysterious allure of glass. Her blown glass sculptures are to be experienced both physically and visually, encouraging the viewer to feel the geological and organic textures. The artist strives to abstractly translate the environment into glass, inspired by the different landscapes she travelled with her family from a young age.
