Originally from South Korea, metalsmith and jeweller Kye-Yeon Son is an internationally renowned artist. She earned an MFA at Indiana University (Bloomington, US) and currently teaches Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing at NSCAD University (Halifax, NS). She specializes in silversmithing, creating delicate yet powerful pieces highlighting various elements of nature and its incomparable resilience. In addition to exhibiting in several art galleries, Kye-Yeon Son is the recipient of the Saidye Bronfman Award (2011) and a member of the Royal Academy of Arts (2000).
