Emerging artist Holly Andersen is a self-taught photographer and filmmaker from Makkovik (Nunatsiavut, NL). As a teenager, she enjoyed taking photos, but it wasn't until her early 20s that she developed a serious interest in photography. Her father was a fisherman and her mother loved the outdoors, Holly Andersen learned from a young age to observe nature and appreciate the land. She uses photography to capture memories and to create aesthetically pleasing images. She enjoys the challenge of capturing a precise moment to accurately convey the spirit of a day or event.
