Annie Taipana is an artist from Garry Lake (NU). She specializes in the art of tapestry and enjoys depicting humans and animals. She developed her technique when she moved to Qamani'tuaq (Baker Lake, NU)—where many Inuit artists first started creating tapestries. Her work is known for its bright colours and whimsical nature. Today, her tapestries are in many art galleries across Canada.
