Ceramic Demonstration | Lindsay Montgomery & Pierre Aupilardjuk

As part of the exhibition Lindsay Montgomery, Monster Faience, La Guilde is proud to welcome artists, Lindsay Montgomery and Pierre Aupilardjuk, to host a demonstration, during which you will be able to assist them and discover the different aspects of their technique. Lindsay Montgomery will present the technique of majolica on terra cotta and Pierre Aupilardjuk, sculpture with stoneware.

Lindsay Montgomery

Recipient of the Winifred Shantz Award in 2018 and Grand Prize Winner of the Dish International Exhibition (Medalta, USA) in 2017, Lindsay Montgomery teaches ceramics at Concordia University. She holds an interdisciplinary master's degree from the University of Minnesota (USA), a bachelor's degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (Halifax, NS), and an advanced ceramic degree from Sheridan College School of Crafts and Design (Oakville, On.). Her work has been in several exhibitions in Canada and in the United States.

Pierre Aupilardjuk

An artist working in the Matchbox Gallery studios in Kangiqliniq (Rankin Inlet, NU), Pierre Aupilardjuk participates in several major exhibitions across Canada. His works are in several notable collections, such as the National Gallery of Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Center (Yellowknife, NU) and the Nunavut Legislative Assembly (Iqaluit, NU). Pierre Aupilardjuk also gives workshops and lectures.
