Guided tour

September 29 & 30, 2023 - 10 to 11 AM and 1 to 2 PM

La Guilde was pleased with the success of Guided tour: Our History, Step by Step in the heart of downtown Montreal! Retracing our history, this tour took participants on a journey through the various Montreal sites that left their mark on our institution since the early 1900s. They had the chance to discover a past shaped by perseverance and boldness!

The tour included various stops coinciding with the locations occupied by La Guilde over the years:

  • Phillips Square : first exhibition at Morgan's in 1900.

  • 598 a Ste-Catherine W. St. : Canadian Handicrafts Shop from 1916 to 1933.

  • Hermès Building : rented spaces for educative programs.

  • 2019 Peel St.: commercial, administrative and exhibition space from 1933 to 1938.

  • 2025 & 2027 Peel St.:  commercial, administrative and exhibition space from 1938 to 2001.

  • 1460 Sherbrooke W. St.: commercial, administrative and exhibition space from 2001 to 2017.

  • 1356 Sherbrooke W. St.: La Guilde's current adress.
